CHC Planning Consultations in Summer 2023

The initial planning group for the Center for Humanities Communication (Christine Henseler and Alan Liu, with Anke Finger and Isabell Sluka) is undertaking a virtual “listening tour” during summer 2023 to benefit from the advice of groups and individuals working in the humanities, communications, and higher education.

Through a series of consultations we are learning from the experience of professional associations and other organizations whose interests intersect with one or more parts of our specific mission — creating guidelines, shared resources, and a training program for “humanities communicators.” The listening tour is helping us plan the CHC on a sustainable basis and enable it to collaborate with other groups and individuals working in, or near, the arena of communicating the humanities to the public.
